We are delighted to be among the first retailers to get our hands on the Pride Colt Sport 2.

At A6 Mobility Shop in Stockport, we have worked with Pride Mobility for over 20 years and are continually impressed by the quality and reliability of their products. The original version of this scooter is much loved in the UK and we’re sure version 2 will be a huge hit.

On first impressions, the scooter looks fantastic! Our showroom model has the matt black finish, something we haven’t seen on any other scooter before. We have seen the same style paintwork on the Pride Deluxe, although the matt finish on the Deluxe is only available in blue or red.

After the stylish black bodywork, the next thing you’ll notice are the integrated frosted LED lights shaped around the front of the tiller which are bright and modern. The tiller itself is a significant upgrade on version 1, giving the scooter a more contemporary silhouette.

Ok, so we know the Pride Colt Sport 2 looks great, but is it any good? In short, yes! This has to be among the most comfortable scooters we’ve driven thanks to front and rear suspension, seat post suspension, pneumatic tyres and a padded Captain’s seat.

Version 1 of this model had the front and rear suspension although the under-seat post suspension is a worthwhile addition to reduce the impact of jolts.

The high back Captain’s seat is supportive with plenty of adjustment for both tall and petite drivers.

The Colt Sport 2 feels reassuringly steady and grounded – the handlebars stay planted and the driver feels fully in control despite uneven terrain. We felt relaxed and stable maintaining a cruising speed on a test run.

Who is the Pride Colt Sport 2 for?

The Colt Sport 2 is a compact to mid-sized class 3 scooter. With reasonable ground clearance and excellent comfort, it is mostly suited to road and pavement drivers. This scooter isn’t designed for off road or uneven terrain but it tackles bumpy pavements and rough road surfaces with ease. The bright lighting package make it a good choice for use in poor visibility. With a high back fully adjustable Captain’s seat, the Colt Sport 2 is versatile enough for all sizes of drivers. We predict this scooter will achieve a range of around 20 miles per charge depending on variable factors.
