The award winning eFOLDi Explorer MK 1.5 is the lightest road legal 8mph mobility scooter available and folds down to easily fit into a car boot.
Weighing just 17kg and folding to the size of a small suitcase, the eFOLDi Explorer is exceptionally versatile. Much like the eFOLDi Lite, the Explorer mobility scooter is aeroplane safe and easy to transport on a train or bus.

When renowned designer and inventor Jainmin Wang fell off stage and injured his leg in 2013, he couldn’t find a mobility scooter to fit his needs – something light, portable and fun to use. Jainmin set about designing his own scooter with his daughter Sumi and created the eFOLDi MK1.0.
eFOLDi won a British Invention of the Year Award and received seed funding from Virgin Media after a successful presentation at the Voom awards, presented by Sir Richard Branson.
With advancements in product development, the eFOLDi range continues to grow and improve. The eFOLDi MK 1.5 (an enhancement on the MK 1.0) was released in late 2018 whilst a brand new model focussing on ultralightweight portability (the eFOLDi Lite) was released in 2020. The MK1.5 was updated in 2023 and renamed the ‘Explorer’.
