The eFOLDi story

Folding magic, born from a real need

When designer and inventor Jianmin Wang injured his leg in 2013, he could not find a mobility scooter that was light, portable and fun to use, so he designed his own.

eFOLDi went on to win a British Invention of the Year Award and secured seed funding from Virgin after a standout presentation at the Voom awards. A6 Mobility Shop were one of the first retailers to stock the range, and it has grown and improved ever since.

The eFOLDi range uses airline-safe lithium battery packs and folds to the size of a small suitcase, making them easy to take on a plane, train or bus. We are happy to talk through the details for your travel.

Which eFOLDi is road legal?

The eFOLDi Explorer MK 1.5 Explorer is the lightest road-legal 8mph scooter available, at just 17kg. The Compass, Cliq and Lite are designed for maximum portability rather than road use.

Do you sell used eFOLDi scooters?

Yes, subject to availability. Our pre-owned eFOLDi scooters and powerchairs are refurbished by our in-house engineers. Visit the showroom or call us for current stock.
